Club nights

Club nights are held on a Friday Night from October through to March of each year with a start time of 5:45pm for the children’s fun activity and a race start time of 6:15pm. Swimmers take part in races with  their  mates,  their  times  are  recorded  and  points  are  awarded.

Club night is a great opportunity for swimmers to meet and socialize with other members and also to
learn  to  practice  the  correct  race  procedure,  which  is  required  at  carnivals. The  main  aim  of  these  races  is  for  all  swimmers  to  assess  their  overall  progress  and  to  try  new events.

All financial members can attend club nights. If you would like to try club night you can come along and enjoy a trial club night (1/person). Western Aquatics is run by volunteers for the benefit of the children. Parents are strongly encouraged to help our club night run smoothly by assisting with the following jobs :
  • Time keeping x 8
  • BBQ x 4
  • Marshalling x 2
  • Starter x 1
  • Referees x 2
  • Pack up at the end of the night – Everyone
Please listen out for the announcement encouraging people to come and pop their hands up to help out for the following week. We appreciate you may be new to swimming club however all the jobs are pretty simple and there will be plenty of people to give you a helping hand.

All members are encouraged to help out throughout the season with fundraising and other activities.
Fundraising benefits our swimmers through the provision of equipment and expenditures such as the end of season activity plus swimmers who compete at differing representative levels.
We appreciate your support and so do the swimmers!
